Vastushanti:

As per Indian tradition, upon buying a new house, we do “Vastushanti Sankalpa”. This Shanti is performed to fulfil following Sankalpa:

While building this home, Bhoomidevata was dug, rocks were broken, sharp objects were used which might have created some “doshas”. I am doing this Shanti so that all these “Doshas”/ defects would be eliminated and in this new home we would live a happy and peaceful life. Also building this home would have caused death of living beings causing doshas in the home. Let all these doshas be removed from my home. Let this home fulfil my wishes, dreams and ambitions. Let this home protect me from my enemies. Let this home help me prosper in personal and professional life. Let Vastudevata bless me and let Navagraha bless me in this home. I am doing this pooja to complete above Sankalpa.

Ganesh Poojan:

Every Dharmic Vidhi starts with a Ganesh Poojan.

Lord Ganesha is revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies.

Think of a Dharmic Vidhi, Think of oPandit!

 Satyanarayan Pooja:

Satyanarayan is another name for Lord Vishnu. This Pooja is performed to take blessing of health, prosperity and peace from Lord Vishnu. This Pooja is considered as one of the most auspicious and fruitful in this Kaliyuga.

Satyanarayan Pooja starts with the Ganesh Poojan, followed by Lord Vishnu Poojan. Vishnu Poojan involves Lord Vishnu's abhisheka, Vishnu sahastranaam jaap and aarti. Tulsi is the favourite of Lord Vishnu. Hence, 1000 Tulsi patra are offered to Lord Vishnu.

A special Naivedyam is prepared for this Poojan.

Udakshanti:

Udakshanti is Poojan of water. Udak means water. Lord Bramha sits in water. This pooja is to take blessings from Lord Bramha who is the creator of the world. Bramhadeva does not reside in any mandir (except Mandir at Pushkar, Rajasthan, India). So Udakshanti is the way to worship Lord Bramha.  In this Pooja, other lords like Lord Varuna, Lord Vishnu etc. are also invoked and worshipped.

Udakshanti is performed for peace and harmony in the house. It is also performed for the blessing of health for the entire family.
